Alex's appt

So, today Alexander had his ortho appt. we found out that his left foot looks ok, and his hips are good but his right foot needs a shaping shoe. It's a little sandel that he will have to wear as much as he can tolerate it to reshape his foot. It made me kind of sad, but Im glad we caught it early so that we can take care of it. Plus, the doctor said it's not a very serious case. Thank goodness. So many things can go wrong with children, that we thank god everyday that ours are growing and healthy. This is exactly the shoe he will have in case you've never seen one. There is a little hinge at the bottom that can bend the shoe in the middle to the point where the doctor thinks he needs it. After that they lock it in place and they adjust a little at a time until his foot is back where it needs to be.

Oh! It breaks my heart he has to wear that. I pray for your sake, he has no problem adjusting to it! Will his be white? Seems like it would get dirty fast! I was visioning black. I'm anxious to see how his ultrasound goes on his hips. Hopefully THAT day will go much more smoother than the day of his ortho appointment! :)

Ugh, me too! Poor thing, it makes me so sad. But just like you said, thank goodness for early detection, modern medical marvels and a big God who is watching out for all of you. So will it hurt him or just be uncomfortable? Like how little kids don't like wearing shoes?

They said it will probably be uncomfortable like if you have braces and they tighten them. I dont really know. We will see monday, that is when we will pick it up. And yes it is white Alisha, but I am thinking colored sharpies? Maybe we can decorate it lol.
