So this morning was the 10K Curahee Challenge in Camp Taccoa, GA. This was part of the Military Weekend that was being held in the town. 410 people showed up to run either the 3 miler, or the 6 miler all the way to the top. Myself and 4 other Rangers showed up to run the event in full body armor and Uniform to pay tribute to the 16 1st Battalion Rangers that have died since 2001. The run started off pretty mellow with some smaller hills and some nice flat, level spots to run at. At around the 2 mile mark the "mellowness" was no longer. The rest of the mile to the top was straight up hill. It was an awesome challenge with a great view at the top where we stopped to take pictures and have a beer for our fallen. All of the race participants were super supportive and loved having us run with them. We had an extended stay at the top because people wanted to take pictures with us and we wanted to help them all out. It was a great run that lasted about 1hour and 20 min and was so worth running.

Was it hot there yesterday?! I can't imagine running that in all your gear and in heat. Course, you're used to it overseas and in your usual training in Savannah.
I wish I could have been there to cheer you on! I'm so proud of you!
You're a stud. That sounds absolutely awful...just awful.
Drew does P90X then goes and runs 3 miles.
I sit on the couch and read.
We're a good team.
It was a pretty gnarly run. The last 1 mile and a half was straight up hill. It was gorgeous weather though, a perfect temperature.
